Residents request for connecting PIK channel dredging in Penggilingan, Cakung East Jakarta. Sedimentation has made the channel volume decreasing.

Bostam Hidayat, RW 13 Penggilingan caretaker, admitted his area was flooded on Friday (10/21) by 50-70 cm.
“Previously, our area was never been flooded since 2007. We hope related unit will respond our request,” he said, Tuesday (10/25).

Previous channel’s depth was three meter, but now is only one meter. The width was 4-5 meter, but now is only two meter.
“We’ll cooperate with urban village, sub-district, and East Jakarta Sub-dept. of Water Management,” he stated.
